MLA Elections, Shadnagar — Standing Up for the Constituency
In 2014, Nelli Srivardhan Reddy contested the BJP MLA election from Shadnagar — a constituency he had served for years through party work and community engagement. This was also the historic year that Telangana was formed as a separate state, a movement he had actively supported and participated in.
In 2018, he returned to the same constituency and contested again. Two MLA elections in Shadnagar. Both contested with full energy, full commitment, and zero compromise on ideology. The results did not go his way — but the relationships he built, the trust he earned, and the presence he established in Shadnagar remain to this day.
What is most remarkable is what came after the losses. There was no bitterness, no abandoning of the party, no silence. He went straight back to organizational work — strengthening the party, engaging with voters, and serving the community as if the election never ended.
"He served Shadnagar before the election. He served Shadnagar after it. The election was just a formality."
